Chapter 1: Loomings
Wow, its been awhile since I've blogged, hasn't it? Let's see if I can give the run-down of my holiday goings-on.
1. Christmas! Spent it with the family, which was fun. As usual. I slept a lot. Got a video projector *geeky nerd techie drool* so I can watch all my movies and video games in near-life size. Umm...got some new dress pants, socks, and some Legos, too. All in all, a fun time. I'm still figuring out how to rig the surround sound in my living room.
2. New Years! Spent it with Behtia. We were in Atlanta, which was unseasonably warm for the holiday. Made me mad cause I had to check a huge suitcase cause I had all these heavy sweaters and didn't need any of them. It was still a great time, though. I used my Christmas money to buy a snazzy new coat and also a kilt. (Long story short, the GA renfest is in summer, and is usually about 6000 degrees, so I was looking for a cooler, draftier costume.)
3. Now! Have been working like a crazy man during the day, but there haven't been any overtime hours yet, which I'm grateful for. We have THREE studies printing this month. For any average designer, this would be cause for mental breakdown. I, however, am the man. Plus they made me do 5 studies in a month last year, so three is a cakewalk. :) Which isn't to say I won't be working a lot though. And I have a couple free weekends coming up, which I'm looking forward to. My new bonsai is still alive! After 2 whole months! Better be respectin' my mad bonsai skillz, yo. :)
The photo is the sword I have on hold currently with a smith in Texas. Its cool. I had originally put a deposit on a sword 3 years ago, but after the post-CK&T distress, couldn't pay the payments, lost the hold on it. Still had a ton of store credit tho. Put it on this baby. Swash swash buckle buckle!
