A Prize In Every Box

This is a place for the random musings and life experiences of one Fliven, who looks for life's fun little surprises, even when its in a giant box of stale, tasteless foodstuffs.

Webring Post #14

This week's topic is:

Describe how you spent this Halloween. Compare/contrast with previous Halloweens.

Let's see...Halloween was on Monday this year, so there was less overall celebrating as if it had been on say, a Friday. I did wear a funny hat to work as a gesture of Halloweeny festivities; my Sherlock Holmes deerstalker hat that I bought at the Scottish Festival a few years ago. It was a hit.

After work, I sat around, kept the dog under control when the trick-or-treaters came, but otherwise didn't do much of anything special...which is really the major difference between this holiday and in years past. I always used to don costume for Halloween...it was my favorite holiday of the year for many years, in fact. But that's mostly because I was usually sick on Christmas for some reason. And many and varied were my costumes! I have been a Native American, GI Joe, Voltron, mad scientist, pirate, and others. Good times!
